I'm thinking of buying the garmin 510 but is it worth the £299 price tag.
I currently use my iPhone for endomondo and strava and works fine but battery can drain.
I like the features of the 510, I like stats but why so expensive.
Has any one bought the 510 and what do you think?

I have a 510, but without HRM and cadence, so it was £250. I like it. It's much easier to use than my 500 and I like the instant upload and download from Connect.

Isn't the 510 a pretty new product? You're always gonna pay a bit of a premium for something that has just been released.

I haven't got a 510, but have got a 500 (with HRM & cadence). It is loads better than using my phone (which I did previously), although I don't really use it for mapping duties; just for logging my rides and checking that I am not actually getting any fitter/faster.... 😕

I've seen a couple of ads for the 510 and they seem to have added more 'sharing' functionality to it, compared to their previous products.

I got my 500 for £155 from Halfords. Not sure I'd have paid full whack for it, it has to be said.

There's quite a thorough review here:

Very happy with my 500. Got it from handtec for £170, including HRM and cadence sensor.
