Just been taking photos for insurance purposes of the bikes. Getting them all out in one go made me realise how many bikes we have. My 5, girlfriends 3, housemates 2. 10 bikes for a house of 3 people. Is that too much?
Feel free to post pics of all your bikes....

Well you dont have a downhill bike or a cross bike so id say your not quite upto boasting potential on here yet ๐
N+1=C
Where N is the current number and C is the correct number.
You need more:
Cross bike
Cargo bike
Pugsley
29er
Fixie
Touring bike.
.... You ain't even trying.
Where's the doing your shopping bike?
Too many imo! For me 4 would be ideal - road, bmx, dh & xc.
10 bikes is OK, 5 girlfriends is a bit greedy though ๐

Well for starters you need a winter and summer road bike, so thats five. Everyone should own a SS, so thats 6
n+1
My road bike is ss so that kills the summer/winter road bike and ss with one stone ๐
Currently up to 6 personally, but one of those is very much in bits with the full intention of selling it.
Specialized P2
Cannondale Prophet
Specialized SX trail
Santa Cruz VPFree
Trek 1.2
Cannondale CAAD10 ultegra
Just got the CAAD, trek now the winter bike, its a slippery slope.
Currently own 6.
HT
SS
Full Suss
Road (Summer)
Road (Winter)
CX
well, you've only got 5, and if you have to ask, that's not enough.
you definitely need:
1 x hardtail xc bike
1 x 29er SS xc bike
1 x full-bounce xc bike
1 x AM / Dh bike
1 x race bmx
1 x pub bike
1 x commuter
1 x modern road bike
1 x winter road bike (with mud guards)
1 x classic / pretty road bike
as a bare minimum
Top tip
Using a photo hosting site, with your own name as your account name, and posting pictures of your large bike collection on a public forum probably isn't the best idea
In the past five minutes, from your posting history on here, email address and real name, I've got a pretty good idea of where you work and what town you live in. I'm sure with more digging I could get your actual address.
Best to remain as anonymous as possible ๐

Thought there was a +1 rule?
Good job they are insured then. Never had a stalker before- was always hoping it wouldnt be a bloke though...
I would have said that 10 would have been getting there but then you said that they were owned by mmore than one person. Get some more.
My meagre stable definitely has some gaps
Disc braked steel CX bikes. 35 miles old.
531 road bike owned from new in '83
SS Cx bike.
Full suss MTB
Pre war fixed
1963 Moulton, barely rideable project so that doesn't count
Original steel Stump Jumper
Pub bike
Couple of frames in the shed as well
Need a full carbon road bike, a 29er and a rigid forked mtb at least.
Also got a ill concealed urge for a trike.
stumpjumper ht ss hack
santacruz superlight
ti 456
inbred 29er ss
so 4 then, have been in doublefigures in the past but, there's just no need!
four's plenty. who needs a road bike?
boardingbob+1
We have 23 bikes in our garden 5 of them mine, another 7 my wife's or children's..
Here are a few:
Family
And do these count?
I think we have a problem..
Up until this pm I had 10:
1. 5" full- susser
2. 29er hardtail
3. 29er rigid SS
4. 69er rigid SS work/pub bike
5. Cross race bike
6. Backup Cross/Tourer
7. Carbon road bike
8. Steel Winter road bike
9. Fixed bike
10. Cobbledtogetheroutofspares SS road bike.
Broke up No.5 today and sold most of it :0(
Also have Ti and SS Duster frames I am reluctant to sell...
We've 14 in the house (2 for my wife, 2 for my son, 1 for my daughter and 9 for me) - plus probably enough bits, including frames, to build up a few more.
My 9 are:
Epic
S-Works Enduro
Enduro SX
BFe
Soul
Zion
Inbred
Boardman Team Carbon
Roadrat
No pics of them all together, but this is the latest addition:

The garage also has 4 motorbikes in it!
I own and ride 5 - soon to be 7 - with abandon.
Too busy riding with abandon to take pictures.
I've not got 10 bikes unfortunately, just 5 for me with 1 on the way ๐
1) Litespeed Obed
2) Rocky Mountain Vertex Team RSL
3) Pace RC200
4) Kona Big Unit
5) Paul Hewitt tourer
6) Steve Potts 29er (ordered last year, but not built yet)
After having 3 bikes nicked last summer I can definitely say I have nothing in my garage!
My girlfriend was absolutely amazed when I let her into my garage (biiiiig mistake) and kept telling the rest of my riding crewe's WAG's that I had 10 bikes, which I adamantly denied... but upon counting...
1. Yeti 575
2. Intense Sider
3. On-One 456 Carbon
4. Onza 20" trials bike
5. Norco Sasquatch
6. Hack hardtail (awaiting full completion)
7. S Work epic (frame only)
8. Commencial full sus (winter bike)
plus I think she was counting these too..
Susuki GSXR 750
Mini moto
and she may have included the gokart hanging on the wall too just to round it off. I dare not tell her about the 69er I'm just about to start building !!!!
Nothing ss though, or Titanium as yet, so I think there's a few more base's to cover ;0)
Only got 4 bikes in my spare bedroom.
My 3-
-Commencal Meta 4X
-Rock Lobster Team Tig
-Specialized Langster
And a cheap Claud Butler for my girlfriend that she's never ridden.
Not sure i could justify a cross bike, DH bike or a trials bike... or could i, hmm
I'm moving out of home soon bringing my 7 bikes with me. At the moment the family garage has my 7 and my mum, dad and sister have another 6 each. Plus all the spare wheels etc.
We also have another 4 in france.
Is nearly 30 enough? No chance!
I use a C = N-1 rule.
where C is the correct number of bikes and N is the number of bikes that cause my wife to look at me askance.
Good job they are insured then.
Let's just hope the insurance company don't have access to a computer and the internet when they investigate your claim! ๐
I have what seems to be the median: 6
HT
SS
Road (winter)
Road (summer)
SS CX
Track
Intention to add one more: geared CX. But that will definitely be on a "one in one out" basis. And I might ditch the trackie if it doesn't get ridden next winter.
10 is barely enough.
Still I'm hoping to get down to that figure after my big cull this spring, which oddly enough will require me to buy even more bikes (eg Gryphon to replace Swift and Peregrine, and so on).
I think I could definitely justify at least 5 mountain bikes (in my head anyway)
Racy Hardtail
Long Travel Hardtail
Racy Full-sus
Trail Full Sus
DH Bike
Thats before I think about Road bike / Crossbikes / Pub bike
Shame I only have room for 3 (well maybe 4 )
Mrs K says that looking back to when we first got married she wouldn't have thought that a person would needmore than one bike, we now have;
Two full suspension mountain bikes
an inbred
a scott rigid mtb / commuter
two cheapo rigid mtb's
two time trial bikes
six road bikes (including 4x Roberts and a Ribble carbon, three of these four belong to Mrs Kilo)
two fixed wheel bikes
No longer enough room in the shed, three good ones are kept in the house and one at work. Strangely enough she has been the prime mover in buying more bikes. I now have an urge to build a single speed up for the wife as I have a spare single speed back wheel and a stem lying around.

Funny how having just a few spare parts can lead to building a new bike.
I bought & built the 456 because I had a spare FSA K force crank laying around !! lol
Are there other bikes you want? If so then you don't have enough, surely you knew this though ๐
9 bikes, between 2, which is fairly average by the looks of it, but how many of you keep them ALL in your 1 bed flat living room :p
KTM EXC 450
KTM RC8
KTM Aphex
Urban Tiger Fireblade
Honda XR600R
O and an old Yamaha TY250
Think I might be on the wrong forum but the is a MTB in there can you guess which one.
