My iTunes says It will automatically update on the 17th.

It's already out there if you look, I've been running it since Monday...
I wanted it before work too - iTunes said that I was up to date. really?

The develeopers have had access to version 3 for a couple of months now and i've not heard of major bugs or problems, its not Microsoft you know!

apparently it's predicted to be at about 5pmish due to the time difference 🙁 it would have to be out while im at work! least downloads should of minorly settled down by time i get in at 11pm.

yes i am - though i'll see what updates have been made to google maps first. with tomtom it will be nice to have mapping stored on the device. pictures i've seen of the car mount look very neat as well. will obviously also depend on cost... wonder how much of a tomtom device is device cost and how much is mapping/data/software cost....?!

nah,i would like one.with an ear piece can they work well as a sat nav or am i getting confused with what all they can do? could be a possibility over a 500 quid weatherproof garmin for the motorbike you see.

you dont get spoken directions on the current google maps, and i doubt you will in the new one. However, with the tomtom app, when it becomes available, you probably will be able to get spoken directions.
