Righto, so the sensible answer is to get in contact with niner and see what they say...
But what would be the point when we have STW for answering all sorts of theoretical questions.
I've got a niner rdo rigid carbon fork.
I've got a new (actually slightly used 2nd hand but new to me) Cotic Solaris max 2 frame coming in the post in the next week or so.
Obviously the niner fork is designed around a much more steep head angled frame.
Will the added forces of running it in a rather slack frame cause it to snap and hence make me lose some teeth?
I'm not on about jumping it or something, just trail centres and peak district rides being the hardest stuff it will see.
Theoretical internet question experts assemble!
Thoughts?
You could argue the other way...a slacker fork will resist impacts more readily...it would only be weaker if you are in the habit of doing gap jumps and landing flat 🙂
I'm sure it will be fine.
You worry too much.
You should think more. The "added forces" will be tiny.
You won't be going anywhere near the limits of the forks given what you're doing.
I wouldn’t waste a minute’s sleep worrying about it.
Are you a big guy? No offence,I am!
Unless you are pretty huge I reckon you will be totally fine buddy.
