Am looking for a new trail frame saw one of the 2012 Spiders (26") in a shop recently - looked real nice and geometry looks quite nice. Doesn't seem to be too much info online as any reviews etc seem to be the Spider 29er and often 26" wheeled references seem to be to the Spider '2'.
Any owners on here to share info?

I'd check whether Intense have sort out their QC. I'm sure the latest frames have got better.
I've got a early model broken spyder hung up in the garage, the mrs bought it not long after they came out, the shop it was bought from put a 31.6 seatpost in when it was a ****y sized 31.4, after a bit the seat tube broke, the shop went bust, and intense told us it would be £800 for a bare front end, minus bearings, stickers, or postage and would take eight weeks to turn up. Don't know if they have a less ****y seat post size now but I will never buy an intense as long as I live
For comparison, I bought a turner five spot front triangle out of warranty that came in a week with a full bushing kit, stickers and delivery for £300
Anyone want an intense spyder rear triangle cheeeep?
I almost bought a nearly new Spider 2 frame off a member on here a couple of years ago. It ticked all the boxes apart from the worry about quality issues, misaligned frames and frame failures.
My head ruled my heart and I passed on it.
