I have read it is 'designed' around a 100 - 130mm fork but does anybody know what the max is? (530mm axel to crown is what I want to use if that helps - Marz Z1 lights)

Might be worth posting over [url= http://forums.mtbr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35 ]here[/url] or doing a search on there to see what other folks are running. Friend of mine runs adjustable 140mm Pace forks with no problems and it still feels steeper angled than my Tazer.
Paul, Rob has Talas 36s on his but no idea what the axle to crown length is, or whether he checked it'd be OK or not.
Intense state that to encourge you NOT to use 150mm forks as they will not validate any warranty should you break it. That's why they introduced the 6.6. But the 5.5 does work ok with 150 forks as I ran mine with Talas RC2 36's with no probs at all. But in all honesty, the 5.5 is better with 140mm or 130's as it's really a fast XC bike
