Just take the bike you normally ride including the spare tyre round your waist, as for scoff, I'd nip into Peebles, chippy is alright and it serves deep fried black pudding if that's your thing ?
Which it might be after 10 pints of Tennants, dipped into a carton of curry sauce as you bounce off the lamp posts, if your healthy then I think there's an Italian.

For daytime food and coffee there is a new cafe on the trail centre road junction, it's amazing. Great coffee and great food.

Pub grub the pub next to icycles or go in to peebles for an indian, or I think there is a place called the sunflower if you like food that tastes nice.

Innerleithen is 26 specific. And yeah, pub on the corner next door to icycles is pretty decent, I tend to just float in there so I don't know the other options too well

The Indian on the high street, Saffron I think it's called, is very good...

The Whistle stop cafe is also pretty good for tea and cake or sarnies during the day.

+1 new cafe

+1 Traquair Arms

And if you're been cheap, the Pound BakeHouse 🙂

Whistle stop cafe is a great lunch stop.

The whisle stop is dead to us now. It's for the CTC riders.

The new coffee shop is enduro specific, and the coffee is loads better.

#endurocoffee is a terrible idea, takes an hour to get a cup and then they time you on how fast you can drink it. Though on the plus side the 650Beans do give a flavour 0.001% richer.

Anyone else find the new cafe a bit shít? They took 35 mins to bring out 2 cheese toasties and a soup/sandwich, and the place wasn't full. The coffee is £2.40 for a TINY cup (tip - ask for it in a takeaway cup instead, you get about twice the coffee), which also take ages to come out. It may be amazing coffee but that's the only thing going for it in my experience.

I also paid a fair bit for a slice of cake, saw the slice the guy was going for and thought "yep that looks alright" but had a sinking in my heart when I saw him cut said bit in half and give me a crumby piece somewhat smaller than I had hoped for!

The new cafe aint cheap but the food is really good.. If you want a greasy spoon.. the whistle stop cafe along the road is probably a better bet..

Saffron on the hish street is really good but you need to book.. They only have about 12 places...

The guys who got toasties and the soup/sandwich were not very impressed... 'cheese tasted of nothing', 'bread was very dry on the sandwich'...

Whistle Stop is not greasy spoon!

I was put off the coffee shop by the queues coming out of the door, they must be doing something right.

Quite! Great food plus 3 gluten free cakes to choose from (If you need that - still scrummy if you don't)

New cafe is good too although a bit pricey

As others have said Traquair Arms Hotel for food and beer. The pizza from the pizza place on the High Street was decent.

The lamb in the Traquair Arms was so good last time I was at Inners I had it Friday and Saturday night.

Another vote for the Traquair Arms. Book if there are a few of you, sometimes you walk in and there are big piles of walkers everywhere. Although if you ask nicely they will open up the back bar. Make sure you tip the staff.

If you head up to Peebles Cafe Osso is good, or the Courthouse (which has yet another new owner but reports so far are good). Coltmans is excellent too.

Avoid the Sunflower, I don't know why people rate it, I have been there 3 times so gave it a good chance, and it was very average, and overpriced for what you get.
