28X1.75" inner tube into a 29X2.4" tyre.
Bad idea, or ok in an emergency?

Best thing to is check the iso number on the tyre.
That will be somthing like 50-622.
The big number is the diameter and the little one the width
Useing that gets round all the confusion and marketing bs with 29er mtbs which use shock
Horror road bike wheels
If no one does is all check the proper size of those two and post a bit later

It would be the width that would worry me. I reckon you will get the 28" round the wheel okay but it is how thin that tube will be when it tries to fill a 2.4 tyre.

I know 28 and 29 are basically the same thing. My query was as mark pointed out, will it be too stretched filling 2.4" tyre?
