Looks like someone came a cropper on the downhill trails today; air ambulance, incident units and police in attendance.
I hope they make a full recovery.

Heard it was a heart attack, and unfortunately the person involved didn't recover.
Thoughts are with their family and friends.

Feel so sorry for those riding with him, and his family and other friends.

Yesterday afternoon, a rider at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre became very unwell. Despite the efforts of people at the scene and paramedics, the individual passed away.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the rider’s family and friends.
We would like to thank all those that responded so quickly, including members of the public, the emergency services, Pedalabikeaway staff and Forestry England rangers.

The only positive is that they went doing something they presumably enjoyed, I'd be happy if that's how I end my days.
Very sad indeed. I hope the family can find some comfort in the sheer number of people who did all they could at the scene. I also hope that all those people get the help they need in the aftermath.
