At 6 foot I seem to be in between sizes
Would I be better off with an 18" and a "long" stem or a 19.5" and a shorter stem
What sort of riding do you do jamesgarbett?
The 18" would be more fun on tight singletrack I guess, but if you want a more racy streatched out long distance machine, I would go bigger.
18" is what I would go for btw.
I'd go 18in unless you are very into head down and hammer along.
I am 6ft and ride 2 (not at the same time) 18" Scandal 29ers, i did try a 19.5" but found it slightly too big.
5,11" with 33 inside leg - i went for the 19.5 as I dont like running a scaffold pole seatpost. works for me
I'm only a smidge shorter than you and wouldn't even think about the 19.5" frame.
6'1" here with a 32" inside leg and find the 19.5 with a 90mm stem fits me perfectly.

Same measurements as you, and I got the 18", on which I didn't even need a 350mm seatpost at full extension.
I've ridden 16" frames before (which were too short in the TT admittedly) with a 410mm Thomson and had room to spare to raise the saddle more.
I will echo Brants comments. 18" unless you want a real racers stretch.
6 foot, 33 inch inside leg and i went for the 19.5 with a 70mm stem. Used to have a 18 inch 26er Scandal in 18 inch and found that a bit small with a 90mm stem and a 350mm seatpost at max extension so i went up a size for the 29er, much better now.
My sizing was based on on-ones recommendation - seems ok. In an ideal world I'd have a 19
18" I would say!
but youre only 4 foot 2 so how would you know? ๐18" I would say!
I'm 6 ft and have just bought a 19.5 scandal feels a smidge big - haven't spent much time messing with stem etc but it would make a good long distance muncher as opposed to tight single track fighter
Your still up then Slapper!
This place is full of people who think that they are taller than what they are! ๐
5'9" here & loved my 18" Inbred with a 50mm stem. But I'd say I was right at the bottom end of its size range. For the ambling/mincing/last-of-the-summer-wine type riding I do it was fine. I think 18". And a 70mm stem.
