Sounds about right. It's not really the frame for you if you're worried about weight though...

just deciding wether to trade up to a scandal or a ti frame only real advantage is the wieght saving, looking at 1.5lbs is it work the extra cash?

up to you - it's more about the feel of the frame rather than the weight loss.

USUALLY alu frames are alot stiffer - the Scandal may be a bit more forgiving than that though.

Ti frames feel different again. Bit odd to be considering frames at £175, £275 and £1K odd though ❓

IIRC I weighed my slot dropout frame at an ounce or two over 5lb

I know a Merlin Rock Lobster 853 is virtually a pound lighter....

have an inbred, just got titus motolite to look after for 3 years, had a scandal in the past, just trying ot decide if building a lighter hardtail is worth it, may look out for an 853 rock lobster frame if that is down to about 4 lbs, ti and scandals i think are about 3.5
