My new forks are boost , my Hunt front hub not. I've got spacers taped on and they are fine.
Mrs Zip's friends are coming for dinner. He runs a precision engineering company making bits for F1 cars.
I guess making boost spacers would be easy but making the bit where the seal sits not so.
Is there a cunning bodge I can use to protect the bearings?
Just get him to copy the standard spacer but with extra width.
That was the plan but the original has 2 flanges with a rubber seal between them. Worried about bearing longevity if that rubber seal isn't there.
I thought Hunt sold that sort of thing so you can convert your wheels?
Unfortunately not, not even Nova Tec do them.

Poor fella, spends all week being bawled at by F1 engineers to make shit fasterer, then only ever gets invited to dinner by people with ulterior motives...
A boost spacer kit is about a tenner.
If I was this chap I'd quote you £60 'mates rates' for the machine time, Labour and materials and then just buy a kit and pocket the change...
Update...they've closed the business and retiring to France.
Spacers it is!
