I propose that whenever we all get something new that is bike related, whether it be stronger, lighter, more capable or more efficient, it is in fact the mental lift that is the performance enhancement.

You look at hill with it in mind that is is going to be easier, it inevitably will be. You look at that gap, with your new super duper bike, if something does go a little array, it'll keep you out of trouble, you do the gap, guess what, you kept out of trouble.

It doesn't even have to be a new bike related thing, you just have to wake up in a good mood and everything just seems easier.

Why aren't we more prepared to put more work into training the mind?

Anyone got any good reading or hints/tips for training the mind?

Also, reading glowing feedback of jedi skills coaching, this is what he really does, rejigs the way you think of things, having a far bigger impact on riding than any bike part could.

Should we be paying more attention to the way we think of riding?
