Anyone know how much it would cost in import taxes for a £500 item from Germany?

What is it and where was it made? Is that the inc (German) VAT or exc VAT price?

Bike parts if you add 25% that should cover vat and import fee if charged

I work on adding 30% to the price and that usually covers fees and duty

+vat on the goods @20%
+Vat on the delivery charges @20%
+Duty at around 5% of the item cost
Finally import admin fees from delivery firm @£15 or so.
So a £500 item 'should' be around £130 / £150ish....
£630/650....
