To get rid of the Pikes on my 456 and replace them with the 140mm V Fusion Velvets. At nearly a KG lighter and not very expensive I can see no reason not to.
What do you think?

Probably not as stiff... Friend of mine has the Velvets on one bike and a set of posh Revelations on another and rates them both.

You are quite right. At worst they are about half a KG lighter. Dunno where I found the Pike weight from but I was incorrect.
Pikes are hideously heavy, my 545's are 2.2kg I changed them for some Thors which are 1.76.
Big difference on the the front end that.
Not sure what the versions the OPs were but mine are the lightest out of the family.
Mine are the heaviest I think. Coil SLs which weigh at least 5lbs and the Velvets weigh 3.8lbs
