Went off and did the Monkey at Cannock with Mboy and a mate. I have to say I was blown away by it and the new bits of the dog.
Wasn't expecting too much but there were certain sections that I'd happily have gone and done a second time.
Top day out!
Only minor gripe is I would say is on the black route northshore bit on the Monkey I'm not sure the third section (Stripped log bit) is rideable unless you are a trails rider as it is so slippy, unless you get it bob on as you ride from the second log.
But on the whole it was radness trail-sonified!
Yeah would be nice if that log was flattened off a bit.
My favourite section is from Tackeroo campsite down to Birches Valley, the berms flow so nicely!!
I rode it for the first time next week - can't wait to go again!
They guy I followed the other week rode the whole log section like it wasn't there. I rode round it like it wasn't there. Next time.
I love it, it keeps you lot of the nice bits of the chase 😆
Yeah, I'd flatten the entry and exit slightly to enable people to get on the logs safely.

That bit is good 🙂 My favourite is the "lower cliff" descent, M8 I think. The one just after the bench/bike racks. Oh and the first few bits where the Monkey branches off from FTD are great as well, flowy bermy goodness!
our first go on the sun dried monkey today ..sweeeet , the new bits on FTD rode great as well 😆
