OK, I know it's a love or hate bike, but I love it, so, as I can't afford a new bike anyway, I thought I'd get it powder coated (the original paint was sh@t anyway!)
Its BS172 btw.

Shame they managed to powder coat the bb threads tho. Cocks.

It's a [s]Shite[/s] Whyte.

I applaud your "colour" choice. Grey is cool (well almost in this instance)

*I have never owned, ridden or seen a Whyte in real life. No need.

It's a Whyte 46. Cost £40, but I'd have paid more if they listened when I told them which bits needed masking. 😕

i did the same with mine:

[IMG] [/IMG]

I specifically stated that i didnt want paint in any of the bolt holes, headtube, bottombracket, pivot bearing areas etc etc And guess what they did- paint everywhere!! Took me all afternoon to scrape/file the paint out so i could get the rear axle, headset and bearings back in grrrrr (it did only cost me £20 though so i cant complain too much)

£40 is well cheap. Looks grey on my monitor.

Yeah, I suppose it does look a bit grey in that pic. I'll post a 'daylight' pic at the weekend when it's built up. 🙂
