Old chainset on the DH bike is heavy as hell and the BB has departed (race face) I have a double XT chainset and spare Hope BB. Only problem is the inner lugs (for the granny ring) clash with the chain device.
A 2.5mm spacer on the drive side sorts this out.
Will I die though?
Bike is a 73mm BB.
EDIT- BB is meant to go on Drive side 😀

Assuming it causes no problem with chainline, it's fine. Other option is to grind off the granny tabs, takes no time.
