Their insurance would have to as the "at fault" party's insurer has to return you to the position you were in before the accident.
if they arn't insured, no. and how many cars out on the roads without insurance?

Not your insurance but theirs that needs to be worried about. Unless you reverse into a wall/bollard etc then it will be your insurance that may help you out if fully comp.
Aah, it's not happened thankfully but everytime they're on the back I do wonder.
depends on both night/brake lights being visible, a correct numberplate being displayed and indicators working.
if anyone is not working or correct, then youve lost your bike, happened to someone i knew.
