I think it's amazing that some people can reply within hours or even minutes when buying or selling stuff but as soon as it goes tits up its fine to take days to reply.
Agreed. But if you look at Ian Pinders profile he hasn't been on here since wednesday.
How quickly do you think it should take someone to order a part, receive it then forward it to you then scunny? Bearing in mind that he's not dealing with this stuff full time and it's probably costing him about £15 to sort you out?
Also, if Ian has said that he'll post out the correct part it appears that he can only get to the Post Office on Mondays. See original thread for details.
I'd give him a bit more time before naming and shaming.
Is Scunny short for S****horpe? 😉
seems to be an S and a HORPE too long
AN OUTRAGE!
scunny - MemberHub was paid for on 5th May. It arrived on the 13th. An email was sent that day, Ian agreed to send the correct axle. Sent an email on Wednesday to see if it had been sent, nothing. Email again yesterday, nothing.
Why does where i post have any impact on this? I'm posting on the site, about an issue that occurred through the site.

It has nothing to do with this site, you decided to make a private purchase, and you should give Ian a reasonable time to sort it, perhaps he is ill, perhaps he has had a bereavement.
Or hjust perhjaps he is peed off with you slaging him off on an internet site.
LOL.
It was fun for a while, but i'll leave now and wait and see what happens. STW has a reputation for having a more mature user group, but I'm sure some of you are .
Well that's not very nice is it?
A new one is only £40. What are you, poor or something.
I bet ianpinder is out punching baby robins in the face as we speak
What a ****
How about OK yes sorry I just needed it for x but yes I see your point I will be patient and see what comes up. if he sorts me out I will post up to say what a top guy he is if not I will post another shitty thread.
Speaks volumes for you that you would insult us all like that for not agreeing with you. Obviously everyone else is wrong except you 🙄
Personally I hope he has not sent it yet and he tells you to go swivel i will proper LOL then
Me to!
STW has a reputation for having a more mature user group...
Where did you hear that ?
at school
Speaks volumes for you that you would insult us all like that for not agreeing with you.
I think it speaks volumes that he uses
as an insult. NOT VERY NICE.
scunny, earlier today
Ian is a sound bloke and will not mess you about. He has a very stressful job and works long hours.
So unfortunatley can go days without checking his e mail! Who would have thought it??
SOme people do have a life outside of the tinterweb!
Best thread since "Ti-pinman" and the CDs which never showed up! 😆
In all fairness to the......... op I did forget to post the adaptors like I promised last Sunday.
Scummy email me your bank details and I'll refund you the whole £15 and an extra £2 for postage back to me.
When I get home in about 4 hours I'll put up a proper defence.
Oh and thanks to everyone for sticking up for me
Ha! Ha! Ian Pinder guilty as charged.
Scunny 1. STW 0.
Good thread. Good laugh.
Moral - Don't take on the ' inner circle'
Ian is hardly one of the "inner circle" - see the flaming he got a while ago.
Scunny has made himself look a complete twerp IMO
I don't think anyone came out of this looking that good really.
This is a useful thread, I've picked up about 5 or 6 people who I know never to trade with, because they think it's perfectly OK to send the wrong bits as long as it's only a few quid, and that people should keep quiet about it if it happens, and sell the parts on Ebay if they're no use, and also if they describe an item wrongly it doesn't count if the picture shows the mistake- that's the buyer's problem not the seller.
Not that the OP's doing too well either, it's a classic lose-lose thread
Ian came out of this exactly as described by most people on this thread eg Honest
Most folks wren't having a go at scunny regarding the issue, just his attitude
Northwind +1
i'm sure if it had been ianpinder waiting for scunny to make things right, the pitch forks would already be sharpened...
STW has a reputation for having a more mature user group...
I've never been called mature before 🙂
Scummy is still wrong.
These threads are damaging in many ways, both in terms of the classifieds on stw and people who might be looking in from an outside perspective.
Intact the title of the thread is shocking.
I did not receive an email on Wednesday saying he had not received them!!
(scummy if you did please provide a screen grab for proof I'm not saying you didn't, I'm just saying I didn't receive it)
Regardless of that I only agreed to post the correct adaptors on the Sunday. I would of posted them second class, so even if I had posted them on Monday there might be a chance of him not receiving them by now.
So the only email I have recieved from you since saying I'll send the part out was yesterday at 14:11
Still not received the correct parts for the hub. Please refund and i'll send the hub back
You didn't even wait a day before posting this thread. I mean WTF I'm assuming the only life you lead is one which evolves around a computer.
What happened to waiting for a reply!!!!! Yeah if you had waited a week for a reply then ask ste if anyone had seen me. Not something like Ian pinder give me my money back.
I read this thread before i got your email...
The first I heard about this was one of my friends ringing me up and telling me about it you impatient .
You think it's not bad mouthing me. This is where your wrong, it implies that I did something maliciously wrong. (honestly forgetting to post something out is not wrong)
The thread title suggests that I agreed to give you money which I'm now either trying to get out of paying you or trying to fob you off. Which are both not true. You posted this thread before i knew you had even asked me for a refund!!
Oh and by the way, I'm not getting home until midnight so if you don't recieve you money until then don't go crying yours eyes out.
So the first contact since
yeah!
yeah!
I have only just started using this forum again and unfortunaltey i have come to the conclusion a lot of the members are complete idiots and have nothing better to do than comment on threads to aggravate people.
The OP started a serious thread and lots of people have just posted shite on here. Leave the guy alone FFS. All these posts with people getting personal is really sad, grow up. Someone even stated a new one is £40 and suggested he might be poor. Very sad whoever wrote that. I remember them being as cheap as £45 on chain reaction so your wrong there pal.
It sounds like the seller is a reasonable guy so hopefully this will get sorted, but it's funny how when sellers are selling they reply straight away then once the deal is done they aren't so quick to reply.
It was out of order for Ian to call the OP scummy though, seriously not clever.
Most people have a smart phone so have easy access to email.
Mine are delivered straight to my phone. In this case I imagine there was a reason why the seller didn't reply but as a buyer it can be very frustrating when you can't get hold of the seller.
On a general note, there are a lot of serious questions asked on this site and unfortunately too many idiots on here that think it's funny to most crap and take the p1ss.
If you haven't got anything constructive to add don't bother posting.
Amen.
EDIT: Maybe scunny was expecting the apocalypse and wanted his money before he died?
Northwind - do you check your email every single day?
Pastcaring - the difference I would of not posted this thread 20 hours after sending an email.
Also, the original item was described as buy as seen and was dispatched and recieved in reasonable time!
So this whole issue was for a free part that I said I would send him as I had lying around, which was only fair to him.
And this has taken 5 days.... Which isn't even along time.

scunny - MemberAs a rule, i tend not to argue with idiots. They clutch at straws, and when they're struggling to prove a point, they'll resort to personal insults.
Interesting strategy, you could probably confuse a stupid person with that. Who exactly is the idiot?
You folks wouldn't last 5mins in Spain with this level of patience. 😆
It was out of order for Ian to call the OP scummy though, seriously not clever.
Oops, sorry I actually didn't mean this, my phone auto corrects scunny to scummy.
where these threads are about genuine con artists it is important but this has resolved exactly like it would have if this thread had never occurred IMHO
PS scunny dont ever buy some mint sauce trinkets.
I'll save any other replies till the issue has been resolved. But Ian, please read your original sale thread and show me where you stated 'Sold as seen"?
You described the hub as a QR bulb, which it's not. It's a bulb shell/bearings with Pro2 QR adaptors.
Scunny - do yourself a favour and shut up. You look like an utter fool
Ian - I know I am rubbish at doing this myself but I wouldn't answer any more of his posts. Anyone can see where the truth lies. You have been a bit slow in correcting a mistake, scunny has been bang out of order with naming and shaming far too quickly.
Scunny, hence why I said I would send you the adaptors as it was only fair to you
In all fairness to the......... op I did forget to post the adaptors like I promised last Sunday.Scummy email me your bank details and I'll refund you the whole £15 and an extra £2 for postage back to me.
Sometimes, **** just happens, we're all human.
Ian is hardly one of the "inner circle"
Is there even an "inner circle" any more (if there ever even was one)? Seems to me that you throw enough shit round here, and some of it will stick... It only takes one person with a loud voice, who disagrees with you over something, to make a song and a dance about it...
Not that the OP's doing too well either, it's a classic lose-lose thread
Everything CAN be resolved amicably IMO, it's whether both parties chose to or not, based upon the circumstances, is what makes the difference. 9 times out of 10, it is invariably one side of the bargain has not kept up their end for whatever reason, so fault lies with only one party, but as long as things get sorted out satisfactorily in a relatively timely manner... Well, I've taken weeks to post something before (life and lack of memory got in the way), and I've waited weeks for a couple of things before too. I've also posted stuff that got there next day, and likewise received stuff next day too. We try our best, but it's always the guy who has nothing to do except sit by his computer posting on internet forums, whilst he waits for his bike bits to arrive, that is the first to cast a stone... The rest of us have REAL issues to deal with... Sometimes! 😉
Sorry Northwind, wasn't aimed at you by the way... Some people on here are just too ready to start a mob all the time, you were very understanding, and my apologies again.

Ahhhhhaaahahahahaha 😀
You should definitely post more often 🙂

Yes, in hindsight the axle's do look different (because they are). So i presume it was a genuine mistake, especially as he'd not fitted the hub.
both quotes are you btw
you know why this happened and he did not do anything deliberately. He offered to resolve it at his expense and you got impatient. You started a thread about money when in fact you were waiting for some bits.
Had he done this deliberately and then told you to f off then fair enough but he offered to fix at his expense.
you had a point but massively over reacted including calling us all mentally handicapped.
It was out of order for Ian to call the OP scummy though, seriously not clever.
Oops, sorry I actually didn't mean this, my phone auto corrects scunny to scummy.
Ah ok fair play Ian. Agree with the post above that these posts are useful when someone has genuinely been scammed.
In this case I think we have two genuine people who have just got frustrated with each other.
In regard to the hub it sounds like a bargain. I would have bought this for £15.
massively over reacted including calling us all mentally handicapped.
I choose to ignore a number of personal insults, and addressed it with a broad statement. If you choose to take it personally then that's on you, it was directed at the few on here that were getting a little too excited.

I'll try to if I feel I can add a valuable contribution to the thread.
I did not take it personally I thought it reflected poorly on you for using it.
