Footflaps - yes, hopefully not too OCD! I spent 6 years with bikes in a cellar in our old house and couldn't find anything. Got it right this time around. Always laugh when non-cycling friends come round and say 'how many bike do you need?' - and that's before they even see where the nice bikes are...

will watch that when i get home trout work doesnt let youtube in.

Im trying to find an unmolested autobox and torque converter so i can rattle my v8 in. i have two lt77s - ones knackered the others 4cyl diesel fitment

sounds mean in the disco with a full exhuast system on - wait till its twin mid body exit with just enough silencer capacity to keep it below the maximum Db rating for trialing

How come my "man cave" has overspill from the house, old cooker, sofa, second freezer etc

At a guess you made the mistake of letting the other half have a say as to what goes in your cave. MTFU and defend your territory, or perhaps you could ask NickNoxx for some flowers instead?

Mood lighting and skirting boards? Proper (not topless lady) art?
Very nice but definitely not a man cave.

I'll take a snap of the other side to show it's man-cave status

Don't get me wrong, it's lovely. The problem is, no man cave should be "lovely". Sorry bud. Would you put your bike away dirty in there?

Nick, it's actually an axe!

Wrecker, that's the clean corner, the rest is proper man cave-esque...I can't believe I'm defending my out building ๐Ÿ™‚

See, look how cave like it is!

Thanks Trail rat, I must confess I didn't build it though. One half of the couple who I bought the house from was a professional artist and it was her studio.
I'm sure she'd be horrified to have the seen the numerous motorbikes and mountain bikes in various stages of builds I've had in there.

wwaswas, at a stretch I'd agree, it is an extension of me!

Thanks wrecker...

Needs a rehash and a bit of a tidy but have recently built up 2 bikes, in the middle of doing up house so tools are everywhere. Looking at the other thread about what is needed from a garage, this has pretty much everything i need apart from permanent heating... lady pics, kettle, lots of lights, lots of plugs, big bench, lots of shelves, big mat to mop up oil and mud.

I designed and built my own man cave last summer. Built mainly from materials I had previously liberated form other jobs. Fully insulated with lambs wool, all internal cabling, etc. It sports a 48Inch plasma tv in front of the turbo trainer set up. Surf boards on walls and a nice office desk ๐Ÿ™‚

Inside is all plastered white with spots. Obviously it has a fridge ๐Ÿ˜€

[IMG] [/IMG]

I love it ๐Ÿ˜€

MintyJim- at first glance I thought that the black bracket thing above the painting was some kind of commemorative/trophy AK47 you had fixed to the wall..

Very happy viewing this thread as for the first time in my life after recently purchasing a property I have a garage ๐Ÿ™‚

So far, it just has my girlfriend's 'work stationary' in there ๐Ÿ˜•

That will soon change though, I'll get pics up when I fully move in..

Forgot to say that is carpet on the ground not grass lol. The shed is 20 yards from the house, which is too far to walk when your busy, so it has an on-suite as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Stoner, shouldn't you be emptying that mancave so you can screed the block and beam floor? I don't think they like being left bare as the blocks move and wear.

Can I claim my shed to be a man cave? It's big enough to store just 3 bike in and I do have to move 2 out if I want to work on the other.

Plenty of tools and stickers everywhere though.

Wish I had a garage ๐Ÿ™„

Old "man cave" gets demolished tomorrow and the new one arrives Monday. Best part is I get to concrete plane the floor so it can be painted (luxury). Pictures will follow.

mine is certainly a WIP. more like a storage zone as we do up the house. need to do many things but on the list is

- new roller door
- used kitchen units to be installed
- lay down some flooring
- add some lighting
- work out some bike storage whilst managing to get the wifes car in during winter / snow
- tidy the pit up!

It does me no good to keep reading these sorts of threads......

One day I shall be like you all and will have a cave with room to work on the bikes and room to store the tools and be able to leave a workstand up and it will have a beer fridge and music/tv and a stove and a sofa.

One day,

๐Ÿ™‚

My cave is very cave like and damp. Can anyone recommend a good solar powered heater or similar? Found some 60w per foot tube greenhouse ones but sun power would be better.

Has at least one more bike in it now and is a little less tidy, but it contains bikes, power tools and a radio so is still cool.

Do have to share it with a tumble dryer and fridge, but that means clean riding clothes and drinks so it's all good.
