I took my front wheel out of the fork dropouts and noticed slight play in the one side. The axle cover just pulled straight off really easy - same the other side. Is this normal? I've only had the wheels two months...

Cheers, as they just felt too easy to pull away from the hub, I did wonder.

Hope still wont admit it but the front wheel bearings are not seated fully in the hub. A pair I have & 2 others ive fixed have all had play.if your careful it can simply be done at home with a mallet and someting to fit the front bearing. Use something like a cassette removal tool or anything that sits on the outside the bearing. Be careful not to damage the seal area of the bearing.
