The whole picture is a pee take Shirley?

Looks photo shopped to me, and I have never looked so 'striking' as the OP manages to do so effortlessly ๐Ÿ˜†

If you took the person (sorry OP) and the weird bike additions out of the shot, that'd be one awesome photo!

Good lord. You've just reminded me, for the first time in nearly two decades, of the Scott AT4 handlebars from the early 90s. These beauties:

Just look at 'em. Magnificent, aren't they? I really wanted some when I was a nipper honking around the Peak on a too-big Raleigh. Marvellous.

That's the finest time-trial, touring, MTB I've ever seen! Needs front panniers.

Nah, it was all about the Profile Durango bar.

Ned used them. 'Nuff said, innit?

He was faster than you then, and I'd wager he's still faster than you now.

Dude likes his bike, and to be fair it looks like it gets used. Decent pic too (although I'd have preferred a bit less crotch in the shot).

Undoubtedly. Gosh, those were the days, when men were men, and mountain bikes were really **** weird. ๐Ÿ˜€

To the OP, did that scene really happen or is it green screen?

I like the bike shadow effect, it almost looks real.

I didn't notice the bars at first. Just what is going on with the tights over the jersey look? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

When you're rocking a testicle that big you can have whatever handlebars you like.

If you're willing to take on The Tour Divide you can ride whatever the hell you like - kudos! And to be honest, that bike looks much better suited for the job than either of my much 'cooler' mountain bikes...

It's like one of those magic eye pictures.

The more you look at it the more things leap out at you!

It's defiantly some poor photo shop as mentioned the shadow looks burnt / coloured into the ground and the thing standing up has a different res than the surrounding

I've been wondering how to respond to this for a while and the nicest thing I think I can say is you have a very individual style.

I imagine theres many others on here who do a lot of road cycling and have nice fancy road bikes. I'm one of them and I'd bet the OP is a roadie who's decided to get a mountain bike.
But I really cant think of why you would want to be able to adopt a full time trial position like that while out in twisty trails on a full susser?

Yeah it looks like an HDR merge done badly. Hence the unusual appearance of the sky and haloes around the light - dark transitions.

But to dwell on the minutiae of the photoshop is to miss the point. I mean, just LOOK at it.

I think you all need to have a look at bikes that people ride for the Tour Divide and similar rides - these aren't for a quick 10 mile and then to the pub....anyway....
