joisus... does that come with a permit? 😯
really, why bother riding at night if you're going to use such a weapons grade lighting system? 🙄 😆
has it picked up a Heinkel in the sky there?
seriously bright!
**** me 3000 lumenenens. Lets blind some badgers.
Why?
psychle, as the only time i can ride is at night, dont do it for the supposed "skills sharpening" effect. And who's to say ill run it on full all the time.
Badgers need blinding, maybe the ****ers will stop running out in front of me then!
And who's to say ill run it on full all the time.
I bet it'll make you laugh when you do though. 😀
I don't ride at night for skills sharpening, but part of the fun of it is the 'tunnel effect' of only being able to see a certain amount around you...
Overkill.
In fact make that over-mindless-slaughter-kill.
I've been to raves with less lights than that
Ive done that for 2 years, want to try seeing a lot more around me.
I think thats bl**dy brilliant!!!!!
Don't know about blind badgers looking at that center spot blinds me. Just way to bright imo.
I want one NOW!! 😈
So it now seems like lighting is now akin to the Cold War and nuclear overkill...
One way to burn up he trails!
Seriously bright. Wouldn't want to be riding infront and look behind me, that's for sure
There is a family of badgers in the centre of that shot but they've been vapourised by the blinding light. Looks well made though.
Does it make toast....
hmmmm Toasted crumpets on night rides , or malt loaf .
That hotspot is not how it is in real life the camera couldnt cope and it was 6 seconds exposure .
It does dim down to a rosy glow
I bet you cant wait to try it out Phil
Lol at the comments though
I bet sightings of UFO's in the woods near you increase in the near future 😉
That has really made me smile, you'll never lose a dust cap when repairing a puncture on a night ride again 😆
that'll dry the puddles before you reach them. Very impressive but as said above, not my bag, I like the feeling that you can't quite see as well as when it's daytime.
How much was that?
When will we have a what sunglasses for Trout lights.
s'pose you wont get cold on those night rides now,
handle bar mounted radiator...
That is bonkers!
Still chuckling at that beam shot.
Tried it on the road yet??!
run time?
4 minutes 20 seconds
what sort of noise does it make when you switch it on?
Does it go 'FWOOOOMP'? Or 'ZZZZRRRRRUUUUIII' (can't quite work out how to spell that last one... you need a rising inflection on it as you imagine the power building up 😆 )
Bet it sounds like a light saber when he turns it on 🙂
You want to see it on strobe for the commute now that is something 😆
What you cannot see is the generator he now has to tow. 😉
In all seriousness, if it does get two hours on full beam from 5.2Ah, then the runtimes at "normal" lighting levels will be obscene, with a great beam profile.
Still no price?
Sorry Billybull, ill leave that for Trout to answer, as it was a one-off, and it is his hobby/craft after all, but not much more than the other new Trout light.
Trout?
my guess circa 200?
That would be pretty good.
Trout?
Salmon?
£220 posted
remember the ryvita adds
in the lumen war a Troutlight helps you win
Uhm birthday wish list!
Somewhere there is a football stadium missing its lights lol
Ive got to say i was a bit so so about the other trout light but this is serious want 😈
£220 eh... I may just have to have one, just for the sheer hell of it 😆 What's the run time guv'ner? And what are the power options (ie. full, half, low etc)?
I wasnt saying another one would be that price if ever there was another as there was a huge amount of work went in to it
2 hours on full from phils 5.2 amp hour is close but there are no 2 hour techy decents around .
and I dont think I will have the time to do one for a while .
If you ride with Swift then you need 2 Troutlight LL s now 😀
