I was out last night and it was drier than earlyu summer. Was only damp due to dew on the ground. Not bad at all for late November. Quite warm too.

Fair comment. I'm still running an Ardent on the back of my bike and I have no plans to change.

Spending two hours outside trying to clean a muddy bike with numb fingers takes the edge off winter riding for me.

Don't clean it then. Works for me.

I like washing the mud off, it's like unwrapping a present.

Seriously?

When I clean my bike it doesn't usually take any more than 10 mins. When I want to do a proper job it might take 30 mins tops. I can't see how it takes you 2 hours to clean a bike after a ride. I could strip the whole bike down and clean each part separately and rebuild in around 2 hours. Do you keep your bike in your bedroom?

I should clarify that I end up being tasked with cleaning and relubing not just my bike but the missus's and the stepsons as well.

I'm getting fed up of there being no mud! Was bone dry last night. Yes it's nice not having to clean the bike, but when you come home from a ride with your face splattered in mud and have to get undressed by the back door there tends to be a greater sense of achievement. ๐Ÿ˜†

Or is this just me ๐Ÿ˜ณ

The other week I ended up in my pants hosing off my clothes on the patio. The neighbours love me!
