Blimey we do actually ride then ๐Ÿ˜‰ Some great pics there, too many to comment on but there's clearly a whole load of fun (and a bit of terror) captured in those images.

I did love that one where the only shot of the fella was a spec behind another rider. I have friends that take photos like that!

It does make you realise how brilliant modern cameras/phones are. When I started we we still on film! Or certainly very slow, rubbish in poor light, heavy digital cameras with crappy image processing software.

Keep 'em coming. It's definitely cheering me up. I think my fav might be Cha****ng on Snowdon but that's probably as we were there last week. Also recognise someone on Jedi's gap jump. I bottled that at my session...

I'm usually the one behind the camera so not got many. Bit of a mincer too.

I don't have the pic and don't want to steal it, so here's me at Hit the North the other week.

Other than that I'm in the "photo of my bike propped up against something" clan as I often ride alone or am the one that takes the odd photo if I'm not alone.

Like the BPW shot with the dust behind. Looks like the start of Bonneville.

Looking through this has made me realise I honestly don't have a single digital picture of me riding an actual bike (there's probably a print of me on my ancient peugeot 3 speed somewhere)

I normally ride alone and don't do events so oppurtunities are limited. Also pictures would be cack as I only ride at cannock.

Here's a view from a bike I'm riding, does that count?

That's the one, I just about managed the stairs. Below was just too steep & awkward, above was do-able but hard to stay on the actual trail 'cos of the steepness.

Bizarre. I found the stuff above and below the stairs just about ok. Belting descent though, one of the "thank god I got down that" ones.

It was steeper and techier than I remembered it, there's an awkward stretch just after the stairs which I think would only be do-able if your surname was Macaskill or Akrigg, but it gets a bit more enjoyable below that.

I'm not going back for a third go.

That'll be me then.

Oddly (as I'm not a great jumper) I found that gap pretty easy and rode it first time of asking. I think it's because the right hander leading into it means your speed is controlled for you to just the right amount to smoothly clear it. Been back to Tony a few times but haven't got into the right headspace to do the two bigger gaps next to it yet...

As I ride alone most of the time I tend to only have pictures from events. I particularly like these two from last year though. One is Kinlochleven and the other is at the glentress 7.

Bit of a weather difference in those last two shots ๐Ÿ˜‰

@colournoise- fair dos. I wanted to do it but I was mentally frazzled and Tony quite rightly warned me off it. My mate did it tho.

I really must go back!

Good choice. Not long after that photo was taken, one of my group felt a bit pressured into having a go at the end of the session as most of the rest of us had ridden it. I ended up getting an ambulance ride and waiting in A&E with him until ten that night as they checked him for head injuries after his not-quite-landing.

I really must go back!

Ditto.

On the road bike, I now have a better beard and am 2 stone lighter.
[img] [/img]

On the cobbles at the Tour of The Black Country, again, subtract 2 stone for a better representation of me now.

And doing what I seem to do more of now than ride, Parkrun.
