Slightly random question...
Why do frames with hydroformed tubes sometimes also have gussetts e.g. Intense Tracer VP? Surely the tubing could have been designed with additional metal in the right places as part of the hydroforming process. Welding on a gussett must be weaker than a correctly formed tube?
I can only assume the gussetts are a fashion/asthetic choice over "correct" hydroforming.
