[#7511709]

I've got my first bike with hydraulic brakes (Diverge). The hoses seem to have some kind of connector in the middle. I can't seem to find anything about this in the internet.

Is it likely that I can reuse this ? I want to lengthen the hose run (I've fitted wider bars and it's too tight). Putting all new hose in looks hard - they go through the frame.

Any wisdom out there on this ?

Thanks

Carbon...

It looks like it allows the manufacture of the frame and the bars to be separately, then joined together at the final assembly (bike shop ?) phase.

Only asked as typically I've fannied about with the smartweld and a1s, no experience of the carbon one.
Can't see how you'd get a hose union through the frame though, popping up to my local shop shortly and will ask in there. They've sold a good few of the carbon versions.

Flap jack, once the olives are removed there shouldn't be anything to stop the hoses pulling through, bear in mind that the routing around the bottom bracket may be a bit tight.

You can get the instructions for the quick fit connectors

Pulling the hose through the frame is pretty easy, I didn't have any problems with mine.
