Yeh yeh before I get shouted at...the 2004 Explosif is not 853, its True Temper Platinum OX, a close relative. But its still air hardened zinc treated blah-de-blah steel 🙂

Here is my Alpine which i've recently finished building. Love it
another of the 853 Inbreds from the numbered edition of 100 where the black ones didn't get a number 😉 can't believe I've had it since 2007, was at Glentress on it just today
[IMG]
Have I joined a really exclusive club or something?
I thought loads of you had something nice and steel kicking around 😉
2010 vintage Genesis Altitude.
Been ridden once in 18 months (coincidentally, earlier this very week) ... 😕

I have three 853 framed bikes; a Soul, an Alpine and a Kona Explosif. All great, but unfortunately I don't seem to be able to post photos. One of my road bikes is a nice old 531 Condor which must be at least 30 years old, but is still good fun to ride, although it is getting very rusty in some fairly crucial places
I have a Soul but it's awaiting some new upgrades - will post pics when they're done. My one fantastic MTB that does all I do.
Another On-One 853 Inbred, was black originally, now powdercoated fire engine red.

Current one, well the down tube is 853. So it counts, sort of.

Fun Snowy ride last week...
dont think id ever get rid of my old inbred , such a nice bike , well done brant 😀
Currently it's just a frame awaiting a new chainstay but I'd like to build it back up again one day when this damn recession's over and I've got a bit of spare dosh....
Thought I had a better pic somewhere online of it than this:

currently on a 120mm fork and 3x9 as spare (main) bike

I reckon narrowing down to Reynold 853 will be whats limiting the response
My dialled PA 853... soon to be abit more common.

Really! This is STW 😆
The R8 looks very nice btw. Enjoy.
Thanks! Will report Sunday after the 1st ride 😆
there's a club?!
Here's my Inbred which was that horrible sand colour originally. I've had it about 5 years now and it's still one of my favourite ever bikes. Maybe mine was missing some of the fabled pixie dust because it rides exactly the same as my previous non-853 ones...

Well it started off as a p7, and a bit 'triggeresque' from only fools and horses , its had 3 new brush heads and two new stales.
Geniesis Alpitude, don't know why I didn't get one sooner!
and with its organ donor!

oh why not throw the Curtis into the mix, new one coming soon but with clown wheels 8)

My RockLobster in post ride attire:

Well I don't ride one beacuse I cannot justify/afford/have space for a 7th bike.
Pipedream Scion R853 -if I was going to build a new hardtail this frame would be starting point. I have a couple in my shop (The Cycle Clinic).
New build, only got it a couple of weeks ago, had a few decent rides now and very impressed...
Gave it a good run out yesterday, and loved it!
Should have done it sooner!
Aw, go on then....
my ~9 year old soul recently did this [img]
I may have been running it with 140mm forks.
I liked it so much I immediately got down on my knees and begged for funds to be released from the joint account, and when she was unsure, I ordered a new one anyway, without care or consideration of my chances of coitus in the next month (note: forecast is 'low to non-existent')
My Genesis Altitude.
Fully-rigid, carbon-forked, single-speed, use it all the time 🙂
Sunday is bath night at ours...

(now with 16T on the back and tubeless in a few days...)
