I've had various Hope and Stans ZTR and think they're great. I heard mixed messages in the past abmout AM Classic an whether or not they are tough enough for UK conditions - there didn't seem to be any concensus. The other mystery is the DT Swiss mid market hubs (350's?). I know the 240's are top class and to-die-for but what about their cheaper hubs - how do they differ?

I looked at this a bit lately and looking on fatbirds website, apparently the 350 has identical internals to the 240, but with a heavier "robust" taiwanese hub body rather than a swiss-made one (iirc).

Also notice on ebay there is a good deal on WTB Laserdisc lite hub pairs in 28h (£60) and 32h (£70). Don't know how they stack up in your eyes.
