Getting a HT2 setup- choice of either some Deore (15 quid) or SLX/XT (25) shimano ones, or spend considerably more on XTR or even other brands.
I've no problem with trying to get into the shimano ones and lube them a bit more before i use them, but any advice out there?

I've tried a few HT2's and I've honestly found the XTR's to be the best yet. RaceFace are by far and away the worst, they last barely minutes. The XTR ones I ran worked perfectly and were still smooth when I sold them too. I ran a quite expensive Enduro one that was spinning really well until it just failed on me which was very strange so I've now got a nice spangly Chris King one to try. And the XTR ones can be bought very cheap off fleabay too 🙂
Buy them off Rose bikes, £17 each for XTR.
