[#6724376]

Short term I may have to use my 2012 mavic cosmics on a genesis equilibrium build.

Genesis will have the new 11 speed 105 groupset. Cosmics currently have a 10 speed force cassette.

So, how can I tell if an 11 speed will fit? (I assuming the answer is it won't)

Is there anyway I can get an 11 speed to work on a 10 speed cassette short term. Presume the spacing is different so this won't work either.

Could I source a new freehub?

I think all Mavic wheels for the past quite a few years have been 11sp compatible. My 2012 ksyriums are 11 speed. Do you currently run a spacer with your 10 speed? If so you just remove the spacer and 11 speed fits fine.

Try it.

Long story short: My Ksyrium freehub wasn't supposed to take 11sp but it does.

Most of the related info I found on the internet was inaccurate or misleading tbh.

Mavic fit both. As do Dura Ace 9900. It's pushing me to 11spd Di2 on one bike.

Thanks guys. I'll give this a go if my roadie doesn't return from Germany before I get to build up the equilibrium
