This is the way.

Shake it, spin it, swear at it, repeat until nipple is out. Be warned - silence does NOT prove the nipple has fallen out without you noticing, and any such foolhardy notions will be met with the previously securely lodged nipple emitting revitalised tinkling sounds as soon as you've done something daft like adding tape, valve and tyre.

Shake it for as long as you possibly can. It doesn't matter how long this is, what matters is you have to do it for as long as possible, until you just absolutely give up in despair. When you put the wheel down in frustration ready to walk away it'll fall out effortlessly.

Hold the wheel with the valve hole down. Makes for a larger hole for it to come out of. Sometimes the loose nipple will get stuck on another one. Tapping helps dislodge.

Lots of swearing is my usual solution.

I borrowed a wheel and broke a spoke. In replacing it impatiently I dropped a nipple into the rim. After 3 days trying, it just wouldn't come out, looking at the profiles of the rim bed it was against the laws of physics to drop through the valve hole. My solution was to shake it near the valve hole then squirt in some expanding foam to capture it and stop it rattling. I could have kept quiet but I did confess to the owner.

Read the title and winced. Must have a bloody awful crash I thought...

Shake it for hours, get thoroughly pissed off, swear abit then hand it to someone else for a go.

They ll shake it twice it will pop out as they say it wasn’t difficult.
