Ok, so I'm probably being a bit thick here but, I'm trying to download routes to my Dakota 20 but don't seem to be able to. I can save the file but then can't seem to put it on the Garmin. Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

just drag the file to the GPX folder on the garmin

Using mem map? Iirc you need quite an up to date version

Can't Memory Map just output a GPX file?? That's all the Dakota needs.
