Its my birthday in 2 weeks, I feared I may have moved up an age bracket..... Just scrapped into the under 46 bracket.

Quite gratified that although I thought I would be one of the oldest gits I'm in the second most popular age bracket. Just shows that keep mountain biking and you won't notice how old you are. (Well, apart from......)

Having problems with singlespeed now. Not my legs, they're still fine, but heart problems. My kids are surprised at that, they didn't think I had one.

Worse thing is I'm going to have to drop my entry in the StrathPuffer. There is a solo singlespeed entry going abegging.

Now that I'm old and frail I did think about gears and suspension, but everyone told me I should get an electric bike. Took a look and made the sensible decision, spent my money on a new motorbike instead. 🙂

Bit sad to see the U35 age bands so sparsely populated. Hopefully it’s a full member skew effect.

Does this mean we’ll start seeing ads for stairlifts, walk in baths, funeral payment plans and Dignitas?

As expected, but I was in my early twenties when I first frequented here, now I'm in the most popular demographic...

Same here!

God have I been here that long...?!

Same here as well! Still riding pretty much the same trails to the same standard (ie strictly average), still love riding bikes the same though 🙂

Proper old. There's a thread on toys of the past or something. Most of the pictures are like this:

No idea how long I've been on here - pre hack, as I was SingleTrackRocks previously

There's probably a market for discreet incontinence pads - for when the ride gets a bit too exciting.

I'm of the age where when I'm asked, I've got to think about it before answering. And still often get it wrong. 46 years.

Mucked around riding bikes offroad throughout secondary school in early/mid-90s. Proper MTBing from around 2002, the same time I first logged on to STW in the uni computer lab. Still riding the same trails now.

Don't worry, was out on Global FatBike day on my SS Pugsley. Just got to be careful. Bought a home trainer to see how hard I can push without falling over. 🙂

In my head 18, admittedly my body is nearer 61, but compared to alot of the younger folks I work with I'm alot fitter.

According to Spotify 72, okay I like older choons.

I saw two polls, very similar (one starting with <17, the other starting "under 18") - did both and see that the results are different.
