[Closed] How much will it cost to get travel changed on forks?

Thinking of swapping out the 120mm forks on my trance x for some 2012 rock show revelations rlt's. They seem like a great fork but can only find them in 150mm and I've read the sweet spot for trance x's is 140mm.

I know they can be adjusted with spacers but what cost am i looking at to have it done. I don't fancy the idea of messing with new forks myself.

Also, how much better is the 15mm axle over a 9mm qr? Worth holding out for the 15mm version?

Cheers,

Ryan

buy them from TF tuning and they'll probably do the mods for you.

Have more faith in yourself it is really easy! You can find video guides or text instuctions with pictures.

Cheers, just watched some vids and it doesn't look too bad. Can anyone confirm the needed spacers are already inside the fork and just need repositioning?

How much difference do you think the 10mm from 140 to 150mm will make? Assuming you haven't tried out (i.e. ridden) the two options, do you think you'll notice?

I just think 150mm will be taking it a little far? 140mm will certainly effect the geometry a bit but have 50-60mm of spacers which can be removed to lower the handlebars so the front end isn't too high. Don't know what to do, suppose I could buy them at 150 and lower them if I don't like it

Buy them and run more sag than usual so to adopt the 140mm sag hight, job done for no cost and you have 10mm extra for the descents

If you don't get spacers with the fork they are cheap as chips to buy, they are quite often sold through the classifieds as well.
