And what do you watch? The thread about still having a CRT TV made me think about this.

Watched Merlin with my son last night, 50 mins

Tonight, nothing on really, could manage "How to build a super car" or "River Cottage", but they clash, so let's say 1 hr tonight, although I'll probably record the Isabelle Hubert film on BBC4 later, probably never get around to watching it though.

I quite like masterchef, son does too, so might catch one or two a week, otherwise....

Monday - might have watched "Britains greatest code breaker" but the reviews are truly awful.

Tuesday - out riding bike

Wednesday - nothing

Thursday - ditto

Friday - maybe watch the thing about Prince on BBC, but probably not.

So, ok the kids watch a bit more TV, which might justify paying the license fee, but christ on a bike it's mostly drivel isn't it?

I reckon at the most it's 5 hours a week, for a total cost of just less than 3 quid a week. Good job that's all it is !

I haven't owned a TV in 7 years.
Anything that is worth watching is most likely from a book or in a documentary archive.

Really, I'd expect someone who perceives themselves to be of above average intelligence to think of something slightly better.

Have about 6 hours worth of stuff on weekly series link then normally 1 film and 1 game of footie a week plus a bit extra so let's say 12 hours a week.

Lawmanmx - how original

Loads.

I don't see why some seem to think sitting on a laptop is 'better' than watching TV ?

Hardly watch any - the news maybe. Probably wouldn't have a telly myself, but my wife watches loads and it's good for the kids.
I like watching TV fine but the internet has just taken over the past 10 years - find it a better way of switching off after work.

There's a few programs that I watch every week, so about 5 hours...

But I'll quite often have something like Scrubs/Friends/Top Gear/Simpsons etc. on while I'm doing something else, so not necessarily watching it but its on!

I used to say I never watched TV but I realise it was because I watched box sets. Anyway, 24 was ace and so was The Wire, really enjoyed Boardwalk Empire and have series two building up on the Sky+. Game of Thrones was excellent too. For filler, American pickers and American restoration have been good and the new series of Wheeler Dealers was entertaining.

i watch loads of films (on DVD/ Blu ray or on cable) - cos I'm a total film geek

I watch a few decent dramas, comedies and documentaries

What I pretty much never do is just turn on the TV and watch whatever's on - everything is either recorded or iPlayer, so no ads (which I like)

I don't have a telly, but do download some stuff to watch, and my local boozer has sky sports for the footie. I was brought up in house with no tv so never relied on the to fill my time.

I watch the Simpsons with my 8 year old son after work/school. Not much else to be fair. A lot more you tube and net in general than TV. I really do despise paying for a licence (but I do).

I like to watch Kink.com with the wife online though - can't get that on TV. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I watch loads of tv, always something ill find or have recorded. There is a terrible stench of moral superiority on here by people who look down their noses at people who do watch tv by those that don't. Tv is great and I'd be lost without it, just like my bike.

Nothing moral going on here, just don't like it and I find the adverts progressively make me angry therefore it seems sensible to me that I don't watch it. There is one thing I watch, moto gp but I wait for that to come on iplayer and watch it there. I do watch alot of films though on the puter.
