After perusing the "wanted but never got" thread, I had a little ebay search

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/raleigh-burner-tuff-burners-/171914831618?hash=item2806ec2702

Nostalgia don't come cheap these days...

Looking at 'Sold Listings', would suggest he's a tad optimistic!

Burners were crap then and crap now.

I don't disagree on Burners not being the best bikes you could get BITD but that's all a lot of parents could afford and a lot of kids were over the moon when they got theirs for Crimbo. The whole nostalgia thing is all about trying to recapture that feeling IMO.

That Hutch is cool though...

Wow that's steep mine went to the tip along time ago! They were over priced and under specced compared to the Mongooses of the time! and then there was the Night Burner, ridiculously overpriced polished frame for the kid who has everything, cool looking in an 80's way ๐Ÿ˜†

The listing is for TWO bikes for that price. Not my cup of tea so cannot comment on value

That night burner does look great, but I had an ultra burner which looked great shop-fresh but not so much a few months down the line when the anodising had worn off the araya rims due to the brakes.
