Not a rant, just pissed that I didnt check first, and that Evans balls'd my order.
Ordered a Stans ArchEX white rim to rebuild my wheel last week. Dropped off the old wheel and new rim at my local wheelbuilder (this guy is apparently the bees knees at wheelbuilding). My chosen spokes were delivered direct to him from Rose bikes on Wed. When I received the rim I only glanced inside the box, saw a white Stans rim, left all the card over the rim incase I scratched it. This was my mistake. I picked the really well built wheel (lovely and tight, top job, very pleased) up this morning. Guy likes to chat, so was held up - fortunately as it only then occurred to me that it was a Stans Flow rim, not ArchEX as I ordered 😈
Fk it, that means the poor wheelbuilder now has to carefully remove all spokes, I have to go through all the fkn returns procedure, and then need to rebuild... AARRRGGHHH 👿
Fingers crossed I dont have to pay double on the build, chap was very understanding.
