Well I used to look like crispy bacon up there^^^

But I've let myself go of late.

Certainly not fast but can trundle away happily for a few hours.

Furthest in a day - 100 miles on the road many a decade ago.

hardest miles - 63 at the strathpuffer.

Fastest - 55+mph on the tandem on road, 45ish offroad on the tandem.

How fit am I - its all relative. By the standards of my non MTBing friends very, by the standards of those who MTB distinctly average at best, compared to a racer - couch potato

Longest road ride was around 200km (in 12 hours or so on a mountain bike). Fastest I've ever been on my bike was just over 100km/hr coming down Mt Stuart in Townsville, 'twas a little scary when I had a speed wobble! 😯

EDIT: oh, and my willy is rather large don't you know 😉 so my wife says anyway, though I reckon she's humouring me 😆

don't normally go in for all the airing of private parts, but I was pretty proud of myself for this effort... all figures from the same day, think 43mph was on the A6 somewhere on the return with a following wind.

last year's Manc-Blackpool there and back and to and from my house to the start. Same again this year 8)

I don't really understand manwells.

he advertises overpiced stuff for months on the classifieds and complains if anyone asks why and yet, every so often, he pops up in the main forums with some troll?

You can't measure Chuck Norris like that. When he pedals, he stays where he is and the Earth spins under his wheels.

To do with fitness - nowt, you measure fitness in recovery time, somthing like max to resting heartrate +20% I think.

Longest - 100 miles, sub 6 hours, hybrid with road tyres.
Fastest - 50 mph. Recumbent bike on Beacon Hill between Farnham and Fleet.

longest, 60miles in the peaks. Ran the Manchester BUPA 10km race the next day, and i somehow beat personal best by 12minutes. Fitness was awful, as i couldn't walk for the next 2days due to very little recovery time.

Max speed on a GPS doesn't count in my opinion. My Garmin extrex regularly has me doing 80+ kmh top speeds on the MTB... (which I clearly don't do)

I've done 47mph on the road bike

I've ridden 90 miles on the MTB in a day with a 20lb rucksack and a seatpost mounted rack - half road, half offroad. That hurt, especially as we did 60, mostly pushing, the day before.

60 mile loop on Quantocks and Exmoor - on and off road. About 9000ft of up and down.

It was wet wet wet and hurt a lot esp. the chaffing and dead legs. I was very brown with mud by the end.

Well the most I have ever done is 60 miles in 2 days at Glencorrwg 😳

Got back and ate for a month (ok ever since) Right now 20 miles around the local trails nearly kills me

Recently got rid of the roadbike as I was doing the same commute miles but putting in half as much effort and getting less fit by the second. I have bought a Mountain bike to commute now and have set it up exactly like my 'posh' bike (totally wrong for the road) so I can get the muscles used to it again.

Doing the Roughride in June..need to be ready 🙂

Getting very fit many years ago was the precursor to getting very fat 😐 Decided to have a rest that lasted five years.

I have been all the way to the shops and back. Twice. Not on the same day though. Maximum speed was really fast - overtook Mr Marchant on the way down the hill and he was driving. He delivers the milk.

I'm over legged and under lunged, but I occasionally can make it up the odd hill.
