Anyone got some 2.5" Maxxis Minions? Anyone measured one up with a caliper? Would I get one in some Revelations?

Cheers!

It'll fit in a Revelation yes. No problem. Like a large 2.35 from most brands HTH

Yep no problems with a 2.5 Minion fitting in my Fox forks, they come up narrower than other 2.5 tyres I've used.

Yes, easily, I've had 2.5 HR's in my sektors. They're not as big as a lot of other brands.

How's NZ?

Thanks for the replies. I saw some the other week and thought they'd go ok but not with loads of room.

Liftman - big as I can go, basically.

I probably wouldn't fit a 2.5 Minion through the back of my Norco LT. I also know that the newer style Revs's have less clearance than the older Pike-style.

I haven't had that many tyres through this frame and fork combo so trying to be as careful as I can. A 2.4 Advantage just rubbed on the Norco's chain stays under heavy pedalling load and a New style 2.35 Bonty XR4 was fine.

so, er..

How's NZ?

Ran a 2.5 minion in my 2010 revs no problem although only in non muddy alpine conditions. Visually it seemed not much larger than the last years 2.2 xr4 I'm currently running and smaller than a 2.4 hr2.

I'm pretty sure the 2.5's (old high rollers, minions etc) are actualy smaller than the new 2.4's (new high rollers, advantage etc). I went back to Spain with my 2.5's and didn't give it a 2nd thought so it must have been plenty of room. I'll have a look later tonight as I've still got hem in the shed.

I showed the missus the photos on facebook, she says we can't move there becasue she doesn't like the accent (same reason she won't do Manchester/Peaks or Wales, but she will considder Scotland!). I'm doomed to a life of crap riding ๐Ÿ™

Can't tell the difference between them.

think someone said a while ago "bigger than a 2.2 not as big as a 2.4" gotta love tyres sizes, not even consistent across one manufacturers range
