I know how tall I am but what size bike will I need based on the below - roughly speaking?
I'm 6 foot or 1.83m and have kind of average length legs for someone of that height - ie I dont have a very short body or anything. I'm looking for a commuter something like a Specialised Langster.
I've always owned MTB's before that have never specced the frame size in inches or cm but have always been Large or XLarge...
I know that I shoudl get measured up for the bike but would like to know where I'm aiming at please...
Scotster.
You need a 56 or 58cm if you like to be a bit more stretched out
Ta!!
How do I measure that please?
Bottom bracket to junction of top tube and seat tube?
c-t
Meaning what please?
centre of the BB to the of top of the seat tube normally, these days a lot of bikes have a sloping top tube with the seat tube extending further above the junction so the measurement to the junction doesn't mean much
Also at 6 ft, in broad bike size terms (with all these wacky new bike frames that don't allow for conventional measurements) I'd say you are a 'large', rather than an 'extra large'. At 6'6" I'm more of an 'extra large'.
Cheers again.
