My mates Canyon has some small clips attached to pairs of hoses in front of the bars to stop them touching each other and slapping.

What are they called please and anyone know where to buy?

I don't mean the arch shaped clips used to attach hoses to the frame.

Erm, smaller cables so they don't overlap is also a possible solution to your problem?

Jagwire calls them "rotating hooks": http://jagwire.com/products/v/S-Hooks_Bridge

Not necessarily, some bikes can require routing cables across the headtube, so even if you have outers and hoses at optimum length they still cross each other, and those clips are helpful in that case. Also shorter isn't necessarily better - for gears you want a nice, smooth radius wherever possible, rather than just going for super short outers. They're also good for keeping lengths of cable under control on some FS frames where outers can bulge out annoyingly when the shock is compressed. And zip ties tend to migrate up and down the cables, whereas those things stay where they're put. They're ace little widgets. ๐Ÿ™‚

the jagwire clips are really useful for keeping cables and hoses tidy and away from frame rub. I got them with my Reverb and have subsequently bought more for other bikes ๐Ÿ™‚
