Hi seem to be one of these people who can't leave my bike alone....
It currently is wearing a set of xc717's on a xt rear and a hope xc front. Been looking around and seem to have been converted into the idea of Hope hubs and the cartridge bearings. Now what is the difference between an Xc front and a Pro 2 front? I know the XC rear has four bearings against the Pro2's 5, where does the extra one go? Now given my current setup, i am thinking of trying to get an xc rear or maybe go the whole hog and get a pro 2 front and rear? any advice? is this going to prove a waste of my time? the aim is to make the rear easier to service, and would like to orcastrate it now whilst everything is working as i like the idea that parts for hope hubs can be got given shimano don't do seperate bits..
Hi the difference between Xc &Pro2 front is you can buy adaptor's to run 20mm front axle etc on the Pro2's ,i,ve had both & think the XC hub's are less maintenance ,not sure about the bearing's in the Pro 2 but if you look at the maintenance section on Hope website you'll find out,Hope don't do the XC hubs anymore 🙁 The after sales service from Hope is excellent 😀
