As above in the market for some new brakes and interested in the above. Your thoughts and comments appricated.
Mono Mini Pros?
They're light, but not as light as Magura Marta SLs if you use the Hope Pro floating rotors. They make that irritating high pitched whine all Hope brakes make, a lot of people will say they're amazing, some won't like them. I'm in the latter camp.
It's personal, if you want a lightweight brake set you're not gonna go wrong with Mono Mini Pros, Marta SLs, Juicy Ultimates, XTR etc.
They're not super powerful, can be a bit noisy, quite happy with mine, seem to be better running with 2 wheelsets than the mono minis I had before.
I find them OK, not noisy but that may be my setup, not the most powerful.
The worst thing I find is that there is little lever 'feel', I have reverted to introducing air into mine, it gives a more progressive feel.
I would say that I love hope brakes though, from the C2 through to the pro's, they have been consistent & reliable, you can't ask for more.
