Hope X2 brakes, would they work if used with Avid 185 rotors&adaptors rather than buying a Hope 183 rotor&adaptor ?
Oh and i am sure i read somewhere the lever has issues with gear shifters, am i right (10 spd SLX shifters currently).

Mine seems to be running fine with an Avid G2 185mm rotor on my jump bike while the other bike is away. 🙂

You may need to space the caliper out a touch, depending on tolerances etc.(Hope hubs have a register that their rotors sit on, Avids don't contact it, and can move radially, causing caliper contact). As for lever position, the accepted norm is to remove the shifter window (for clearance), fit the blanking plate behind it to cover the hole left behind, and run the brake levers inboard of the shifter.
