I have a Hope Vision 2 that's about 4 years old. The battery holds charge fine when it's not connected to the lamp unit (no noticeable loss of charge when not used for a fortnight and stored with a full charge).
If I connect the lamp unit to the battery and store it in the same place the battery will have insufficient charge to power the light after a couple of days*.
Is this normal?
*I've not been leaving it switched on ๐

My Vision2s which are coming up to 7 years old have been back to have bits fixed loads, and have never cost a penny...
Excellent idea, It hadn't occurred to be to ask them about it.
(Not being sarcastic, genuinely hadn't though of it)
The if you've got the original version like me (all black metal housing) the light is never fully off so don't leave it connected to battery for prolonged periods of time. If you look at the LEDs when you connect the battery there is a very faint glow so they are very slightly discharging the battery.
No idea if this changed on the newer version version silver and black housing.
