[#5317414]

The bite point is supposed to self adjust on open system brakes, but on my V2s it self adjusts to a point just off the bars.

They've been bled, and properly, because they work excellently and are not at all spongy. If I grab them lots of times quickly they pump up to a normal level, but as soon as I release them it returns to where it was.

I know how brakes work in general, and I can't figure out why it's doing this. Maybe the breather hole is blocked for the air side of the reservoir diaphragm?

I had a similar problem with M4s after fitting new goodridge hose,
Must have messed up the fitting because changing back to standard hose sorted the problem.
Have you changed anything prior to them doing this?

Nope, they've always been a bit like this to be honest, but I think they are worse now.

Could still be air related I suppose, but seems rather unlikely.

One wasn't, but I freed it up during the bleed.

Hmmm, maybe new piston seals & re-bleed?
