Will the Hope brakes fit say Hayes 180mm discs with any probs?
The Hopes are designed for 183mm discs apparently.

They will be fine. I run an X2 with a shimano 180mm

How do they compare power wise to say a Hayes Stroker Trail brake?

Yes they will. hope do a mount for 180mm and another for 183mm
