If anybody is interested there is a great photo of the hope cable/hydro converter on Pinkbike.

Looks like a very well designed and compact solution - doesnt look gash either.

Will be very interested in this when it comes out as a replacement for my bb7s

It won't be long till someone comes out with hydraulic levers for STis, rather than having a bodge-job adaptor.

debatable.

Proper hydro levers please not naff converters - not that I'm in a rush for road/cx discs.

As 'bodge jobs' go I think it looks great - I run Campag Ergo levers so I doubt they will ever release a hydro lever so this looks like a great solution for me.

I'm thinking that the under-stem adapter rotates with the bars, in which case I see a lot of forthcoming frame damage caused by being hit with a big chunk of machined aluminium.

I suspect the Hope solution is runnign so many spacers to give top tube clearance but the hoses might be a problem.

surprised hope didn't do somethign more integrated with the stem, tbh.

hmmm, integrate it into a stem face-plate, like they used to do (or still do?) with batteries?

Can't see the first pic, are they doing proper light calipers?

No Al - it's just another cable-hydro bodge. No pic of the calipers.

I like the solution - looks nice, clean.

@Druidh - I'm sure these headsets with internal bump-stops will become a lot more popular then...

Can't really see the point. Surely shimano will be coming out with hydraulic levers next year? This probably won't even be in the shops by then!
